Delete your Shilling account
You can delete a hosted Shilling account from any signed-in Shilling app, including the web app, so you don't need to reinstall a mobile app.
- Open Shilling Settings on the web and sign in with your account's email, or open Settings in Shilling on any signed-in device.
- Under Account, choose Delete account.
- If you have a Silver or Gold subscription, Shilling reminds you to cancel it first (see below). Then confirm.
Deletion takes effect immediately. Afterward, the app erases the budget on the device you used and returns to the welcome screen.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in (email and password) and account profile.
- Your finance-space memberships and the sync devices you registered. A space where you were the only member is closed. In a shared space, other members keep access. If you were its only owner, the longest-standing admin, or else the longest-standing member, becomes owner.
- Pending invitations sent to your email address.
- Your billing customer record with our subscription provider (RevenueCat).
Shilling servers never store your budget data. Accounts, transactions, schedules, and receipts live on your devices and sync directly between them. Copies already on your other devices stay there until you reset those devices: Settings → Account → Sign out, then choose Start over.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Apple, Google, or our web checkout bills it, so cancel it there to stop future charges:
- App Store: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Google Play: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Web checkout: use the manage link in your billing email.
Apple, Google, and the web payment provider keep their own purchase records under their own policies.
Usage analytics
Optional usage events use a random installation identifier that is not linked to your account. Deleting your account does not change them. See the usage analytics privacy notice.
